Guardians Of The Galaxy Game Announced For October 2021

It’s time to suit up as Square Enix has announced that a new Guardians Of The Galaxy game is releasing in October this year.

During their E3 showcase, the publisher revealed that studio Eidos-Montréal has been hard at work developing a game based on the beloved Marvel comics superhero squad, which will release on 26th October 2021 on PlayStation, PC and Xbox.

The single-player third-person action-adventure allows you to play as none other than Star-Lord, a.k.a. Peter Quill, as you defend the galaxy from all kinds of threats alongside the rest of the guardians.

With Square Enix releasing an impressive trailer and gameplay footage, the game promises worlds bursting with colour, big chaotic shoot-outs, weird alien monsters, and an absolutely banging ’80s soundtrack (this is Guardians Of The Galaxy after all).

However, although it draws on lore from the comics and film series, this is an interpretation of the Guardians we have never seen before, giving the game a unique twist.

We are told that the story will take place a shortly after the Guardians have formed following an intergalactic war, and as leader Star-Lord you will play a large role in shaping the group.

Popular characters such as Gamora, Drax, Rocket, Mantis and many more will feature, including villains like Lady Hellbender.

Bring it on!

Guardians Of The Galaxy is scheduled for release on 26th October 2021.
