Who are Handmade By Robots?

Handmade By Robots is a unique and fresh take on collectable vinyl figures, based on actual handknit techniques. The line launched in 2018 and we now have 122 figures available, with another 140 in the pipeline. We are based in Woodinville, Washington, USA.
Which franchises do you work with?
Handmade By Robots
Scream, Harry Potter, Scooby-Doo, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, It, DC Comics, Annabelle, The Nun, The Goonies, Gremlins, and many more. New licensing agreements are in the works, so look for more franchises soon!
Tell us about your recent collections.
Handmade By Robots
One of our recent highlights was our Harry Potter collection which includes 11 full size figures – Harry, Hermione, Ron, Hagrid, Dumbledore, Snape, Voldemort, Dobby, Hedwig, Draco, and Luna.
And there’s many more to come, including our micro figures. Our Ghostface series remains one of our bestsellers and most beloved set of figures – Ghostface fans are hardcore!
How long does it take to go from initial idea to finished product?
Handmade by Robots
It depends on the licensor really, but we can usually get a figure rendered by our amazing illustration team in about a week, then licensor approval takes anywhere from one week to two months. Then we go to 3D drawing, tooling, then production, all with licensor approvals on each step. So, best case is six months, worst case 12 to 14 months!
What’s your favourite product so far?
Handmade By Robots
Well, Lead Robot Mary’s favourite figure is Billy Butcherson. Our MediaBot Ghoul loves Leatherface and Pretty Woman, and Allison, our CrunchBot, her favourite is the Mystery Machine – but it changes from week to week!
